Most of the documents now are included in the eLibrary/ARCHIVES/GENERAL folder. There are about 10,000 documents from 700 publishers in this part of the eLibrary. “Publisher” is used broadly to mean any organization or anyone who creates and distributes documents. Subordinate organizations, such as the U.S. Bureau of Census, may be included under the superior organization, e.g. U.S. Department of Commerce.
Originally documents were to be included in a GENERAL folder and later moved to the Archives. However this breaks links so all documents added in the past few years have been added to ARCHIVES/GENERAL. Because of the elapsed time, those from GENERAL will soon be moved to the archives. Even though this breaks earlier links, it consolidates search.
